I love my boys.
Natalie and I shared an adventure on Saturday: we went to our first State Fair!
We set out seeking funnel cakes, ferris wheels, and kettle corn. We found the first right away…
There were waaaayyy more people there than we had anticipated, and at times, we came to a standstill just trying to walk places! It took us forever to even try to get close to the ferris wheel, and the whole thing was a little bit overwhelming, so we skipped the ferris wheel and tilt-a-whirl. Next time! Luckily, I still got to enjoy Natalie’s cuteness and great company!
They didn’t actually have kettle corn, but our funnel cake was yummy enough for us! Thanks, Natalie, for a really fun afternoon!
Check out our living room!
Thanks to some awesome folks in the church, we have FURNITURE in our living room… hooray!
Here is my office… complete with fancy nameplate:
To tag on an unrelated thing, Mike and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary August 8. We were moving that week, so we didn’t actually get to eat our cake until a few days later in Missouri, but it was SO yummy!! Gotta love that funfetti!
Remember these guys?
Well, they got HITCHED this weekend! What a JOY to be a part of Mike and Ashley’s wedding on August 7! I absolutely love the way they looked at each other all day, and found myself especially emotional at the mention of their BEAUTIFUL daughter. I had so much fun being with them this week. What an amazing way to end our time in Hope Town!
If you’re here for the slideshow, scroll on down. But first, let me fill you in on some of the highlights of their big day.
Ashley could not stop smiling… I wonder if she was excited or something?
The ceremony itself was so perfect. During the pouring of the unity sand, they even had sand for Gabriella, their gorgeous daughter. Not many dry eyes in that place, folks.
I could not get over the sweetness in the way that they looked at each other. Look at Mike’s face in this next photo– is that not love, or what?
Ashley’s colors were beautiful– such a fresh pink, and a blue to match the ocean. Buds and Blooms created beautiful arrangements of hydrangeas for the ladies.
Their rings are pretty awesome. Ashley came into the day with some photo shot ideas of her own, and this was one of them. Love it! Don’t you just adore the way she’s looking at Mike?
Their reception was love-filled, fun-filled, and altogether awesome!
Ok, ok, here’s the slideshow! 🙂
Also, if you would like to see the full proofs online, and/or order nice prints, you can go to their online gallery.
Whew! It has been a whirlwind of a week, and it’s only Wednesday! I’m just so excited to be sharing the slideshow of Justin and Simone’s wedding photos. Their big day was filled with emotion, and rightly so– it’s a big day!
Beach weddings are so beautiful. Between the pink sand beach and bright blue water, Simone in her white gown looked absolutely stunning!
Congrats again, you two! Hope you enjoy this wedding slideshow! And if you would like to order any prints of the day, they’ll soon be available at Simone and Justin’s page on Pictage.com!
Here’s a taste of the photos from Justin and Simone’s beautiful Bahamian wedding this past weekend. Getting ready was wonderful at the Hook House, right behind the beach where the ceremony took place. The house has part of its original structure remaining from the 1850’s, including this awesome door:
And yes, that is Simone’s dress peeking out from behind the door! She had the most beautiful corset lace-up back to her dress, which she altered herself!
But let me back up just a bit… on her way up to put on the dress, there was a window with a perfect view of the ceremony site on the beach. Simone paused for a moment to take in the scene of what what about to happen.
The ceremony was beautiful, and everyone was able to stay nice and dry.
Simone was surrounded by a super-fun group of girls who were up for anything when we took some photos after the ceremony. Love it!
They had the cutest little labels made out of palm fronds adorning the food tables at the reception…
And Simone decorated the wedding cake herself! Justin’s mom baked it, so there was so much love involved in this cake for sure!
As the sun finally set on the happy couple, hearts were full to see the two finally become husband and wife. The twinkly lights were the perfect accessory to a beautiful evening!
Congratulations, you two! Stay tuned for a slideshow of the complete photos later this week!
This year Hope Town has been so lucky to have this beautiful family on-island!
This group of folks from Nashville are headed out in just a week, and we are definitely sad to see them go. It was so fun to get to spend some time with them all! Enjoy the photos of our evening at the ballfield, on the beach, and on the dock.
